Quality control

Luggage QC — what we test, and what you receive

A kids product that fails in a store fails a brand, not just a shipment. Our inspection runs at three points and every test maps to a document you can file.

Three checkpoints

Incoming, in-line, finished goods

📥

Incoming material

Sheet thickness and colour, zipper cycle samples, trolley-system pull force and lock function checked before material is released to the line.

  • Shell thickness gauge check
  • Hardware sampling per lot
  • Lining colour and fastness
🔍

In-line inspection

First-piece approval at each station, then patrol inspection through forming, sewing and assembly against AQL 2.5 / 4.0.

  • First-piece sign-off
  • Patrol inspection per shift
  • Defect log per line
📦

Finished goods

Drop, wheel-running, handle-jerk, zipper-cycle and trolley-fatigue tests on production samples before cartons are sealed.

  • AQL 2.5 / 4.0 sampling
  • Batch test report
  • Carton drop test on request

Documents we can produce on request

Scanned records from our own files. Full PDF copies are sent with the quotation sheet — ask for the document pack covering your destination market.

Select any document to view it full size.

What this pack proves. Brand ownership (trademark), engineering capability (patents) and chemical-safety compliance for the destination market. EU-facing packs — EN 71 and REACH reports — are commissioned per programme; see the compliance note below for how we treat toy-adjacent claims.
Kids range specifics

A kids product is a toy and a suitcase at once

Ride-on luggage is sat on, ridden and dropped by children, which is why it is tested beyond an adult case: seat-area static load, stability angle, small-part check and edge-radius review.

  • Seat-area static load and fatigue testing
  • Stability / tip-over assessment
  • Edge and corner radius review
  • Small-part and sharp-point check
  • EN 71 or CPSIA testing arranged per destination
Electric ride-on units. The battery-assisted line is tested for charge cycles, over-charge protection and temperature rise. UN38.3 test reports and battery documentation are provided for air or sea freight as required by the carrier.
On “CE marked luggage”. Luggage is outside the scope of EU CE marking as a product category, so we do not claim it. What applies instead: GPSR obligations, REACH Annex XVII restricted substances, and EN 71 where a ride-on is also a toy. We state the test actually performed, with the report number, rather than a mark.
